SRINAGAR: Renowned Consultant Surgeon Dr Imtiaz Wani of Government Gousia Hospital, Srinagar, is receiving widespread appreciation from various sections of society for his dedicated humanitarian services and commitment to the welfare of poor and needy patients.
Dr Wani has taken a special initiative to support economically weaker sections, including daily-wage labourers, street vendors and underprivileged patients, by providing free medical consultations. In deserving cases, he also arranges medicines at no cost, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent patients from accessing healthcare. People from different walks of life have praised Dr Wani for his compassion, kindness and dedication to serving humanity. His selfless efforts have earned him admiration and respect across the community.
Speaking about the motivation behind the initiative, Dr Wani said many labourers and street vendors are unable to afford the loss of daily income when seeking medical treatment. “These poor labourers and street vendors often have to close their shops or miss a day’s work to visit hospitals. Patients can consult Dr Wani at Smart USG Centre, Karan Nagar, from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, and at True Care Clinic near Dilbahar Ice Cream Shop, Hari Singh High Street, from 4:30 PM onwards on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
