Srinagar: Asking people to continue maintaining social distance, Principal Government Medical College Srinagar, Dr Samia Rashid on Sunday said that COVID19 threat “looms over our head”.

“Gentle reminder to all that the threat of the virus is still far from over. It looms over our head even though it may not always seem so. Please continue maintaining social distance, wash your hands, and practice cough etiquette. Do not lower your guard,” she said in a tweet.

GMC principal also said that, “Doctors and paramedical staff are out in the field fighting for you. Please stay at home for us”.

Her statement comes a day after Jammu and Kashmir witnessed its highest daily jump as 19 more persons were tested positive for COVID19.
