DG CRPF lauds troops, reviews operational readiness in Kashmir Valley

Srinagar: Director General of CRPF, G. P. Singh, during his two-day visit to the Kashmir Valley, carried out a comprehensive review of the force’s operational readiness and security deployments across key installations in Srinagar.

Soon after arriving at the Srinagar airport, the DG proceeded to the 54 Battalion CRPF at Nishat, where he was accompanied by Vitul Kumar, SDG Ops Dte; Rajesh Kumar, ADG J&K Zone; Vineet Brijlal, IG Ops Kashmir Sector; and Pawan Kumar Sharma, IG Srinagar Sector.

The DG inspected the battalion, chaired an operational meeting and interacted with the jawans.

Later, the DG visited the Headquarters of the Srinagar Sector CRPF, where he chaired a high-level security meeting and reviewed the functioning of the new Command and Control Centre.

Taking stock of the prevailing security situation in the Valley, the DG reaffirmed CRPF’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring incident-free operations in the region.

The DG also visited the Group Centre Srinagar, where he held detailed deliberations with commanders on the overall security scenario and operational preparedness.

He also visited the 44 Battalion and interacted with personnel during a Sainik Sammelan, addressing their concerns and boosting their morale.

In his address, the DG lauded the troops for their steadfast dedication to duty and service to the nation, expressing confidence that the Force would continue to serve the country with zeal and valour.
