Srinagar, Jan 28: The Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has strongly reacted to the killing of two unarmed civilians and injuries to many others in indiscriminate firing by forces at Ganowpora village of Shopian district.
Condemning the student’s killings, the secretary general of the DFP, Moulana Mohammad Abdullah Tari said in a statement that our young sons are being killed with impunity but no one among international community seems to bother.
Praying for the slain youth, Javed Ahmad and Suhail Ahmad, Moulana Tari expressed sympathies and solidarity with their families. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in Indian force’s unjustified firing. This is a war against the people of Kashmir. The incident is a big slap on the face of those maintaining criminal silence over the barbaric actions of the men in uniform in Kashmir. In fact the so- called rulers have given the forces a license to kill Kashmiri youth.
Terming the Shopian killings as cold blooded murder, Moulana Tari said, the blood hungry men in uniform only implement the orders of the rulers who in order to please their masters in New Delhi are on a killing spree in Kashmir. Showering bullets on unarmed protesters has become a tag to the so-called rulers who have turned Kashmir into a death valley.
While denouncing the civilian killings, Moulana Tari said, the Indian forces are showering bullets and pellets over the peaceful protestors who even try to raise voice for right to self-determination and it has become a routine now. After every such innocent killing a so called probe is ordered to deceive the people and the process goes on unabated.
