Devyani Rana appointed BJYM, J&K vice-president

JAMMU, JANUARY 06: Devyani Rana, daughter of the late MLA and senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana, has been appointed as Vice-President of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Jammu and Kashmir unit.

The nomination was announced by Arun Prabhat, President of BJYM J&K, following consultations with Sat Sharma, President of BJP J&K, and Ashok Koul, General Secretary (Organisation), BJP J&K. The appointment holds emotional significance, as Devyani’s father, Devender Singh Rana, a prominent BJP leader and former MLA, passed away last year on October 31 after a brief illness.

The announcement ceremony witnessed the presence of senior BJP leaders, including Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary and Prabhari for J&K BJP; Sat Sharma, President of J&K BJP; Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition; Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister; Aseem Gupta, Vice-President of J&K BJP; Vibodh Gupta, General Secretary of J&K BJP; and other prominent party members.

Devyani’s appointment reflects the party’s commitment to nurturing young leadership and honouring the legacy of late leaders who have contributed significantly to the organisation. Her role as Vice-President of BJYM J&K is expected to bring fresh energy and perspective to the youth wing of the party in the region.
