DC Sgr reviews status of works under District Mineral Fund

DC Srinagar reviews status of works undertaken under District Mineral Fund PMKKKY Scheme

SRINAGAR, JUNE 25: In order to ensure the effective implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Khanij Kshetra Kalyan Yojana (PMKKKY) and the efficient utilization of the District Mineral Fund for the development of mining-affected areas, DC Srinagar Akshay Labroo conducted a review of works being undertaken under District Mineral Fund  today at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner, who is also the Chairman of the District Mineral Foundation Trust, conducted a comprehensive review of each developmental activity undertaken in the District under PMKKKY using the District Mineral Fund. On the occasion, the DC, stressed upon the stakeholder Departments to ensure timely completion of the ongoing projects so that benefit of the works percolate the target population in both directly and indirectly affected areas as per the PMKKKY guidelines. The chair also reviewed the progress of each developmental work carried out during the year 2024-25 under PMKKKY for the development of areas and welfare of people affected by mining-related operations.

Meanwhile, Labroo Wednesday chaired a meeting of senior Revenue Officers here at Conference Hall of the DC Office to conduct Tehsil wise review of the functioning and performance of Revenue Department in the District.The meeting was attended by  Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Aadil Fareed, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Umar Gulzar, SDM East, Zubair Ahmad, SDM West Irfan Bahadur, all Tehsildars of the District and other concerned.

The meeting was aimed to review and strengthen the functioning of the District’s Revenue Department, focusing on the expediting process of digitization of revenue records and the timely delivery of public services.  At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of the Revenue related matters and services with special focus on progress of Digitization/Authentication of Jamabandis/Mussavies, Reconstruction of damaged Massavies, geo-referencing of maps. He also reviewed provision of online services, court cases, status of migrant offline/online grievances and pending land alienation cases in the District.
