SRINAGAR: A grand Invergy Technical Seminar was held in Srinagar by CStar Infra Solutions, where innovative and sustainable energy solutions were exhibited and discussed for the consumers of Jammu and Kashmir.

J&K Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi attended the seminar as the chief guest. Deepak Pandey, Founder and Managing Director, Invergy; Aastik Mani Tripathi, Co-Founder and Director; Prasoon Chaudhary, Director, Invergy; Syed Muhammad Hussain, Waqf Board Member; Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin (JKAS), Executive Magistrate of the Board; Mohd Asif, Founder and Co-Director, CStar Infra Solutions; and Syed Shafat Haqani, Managing Director, CStar Infra Solutions, also spoke on the occasion.

Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, in her address, said that with a non-performing government in place in J&K, which has failed even in fulfilling its own election promises regarding improvement in power supply and public facilitation, the only hope presently lies in alternative power solutions provided by private players.

“Since the past two years, we have seen the worst power management by this government and, therefore, we now have to shift to alternate sustainable energy facilities like solar power units offered by private players. We all have to avail these new opportunities to overcome our energy issues,” said Andrabi.

She said that the Prime Minister’s Surya Ghar Yojana is a futuristic, public-oriented visionary programme and stressed the need to create awareness among the masses regarding the benefits of the scheme and the innovative solutions available.

“Private partners in the sustainable energy sector need to subsidize domestic installations. I appeal to all service providers to consider subsidizing services for domestic users so that, together through public-private partnership, we can create reliability in the energy sector at the grassroots,” said Dr Darakhshan.
