Srinagar, May 27: Tragedy befell a family after a nine-year-old girl was charred to death in an overnight blaze at Dal Lake.
Identified as Nadiya Bashir, she was charred to death after a houseboat caught fire.
Earlier, the fire broke out in the Kareem houseboat opposite Ghat number 16 Boulevard. The houseboat received extensive damage.
Police said the cause of the fire is being ascertained.
