CRPF man among 10 more die of COVID in Kashmir, toll close to 600 in J&K

Srinagar: Ten more patients including a CRPF man who was tested positive for COVID-19, died on Thursday in Kashmir, thus taking the death toll due to the virus in Jammu and Kashmir to 592.

The deceased included a 50-year-old CRPF man from 61BN, an 87-year-old man from Tral, a 65-year-old woman from Khandah, Budgam; a 60-year-old man from Bamroo, Magam; a 70-year-old woman from Yunsu Handwara; a 65-year-old man from Jawahar Nagar Srinagar; a 70-year-old man from Sopore; a 56-year-old woman from Lal Bazar, Srinagar; a 70-year-old woman from Dialgam, Anantnag; and a 65-year-old man from Pattan, Baramulla.

An official from SMHS said that the CRPF trooper from 61 battalion Shivpora, who was suffering from bilateral Pneumonia and was tested positive for COVID-19, died on Thursday.

The death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 592, 551 of them from Kashmir alone.
