COVID19: Baby doll singer Kanika Kapoor finally tests negative

Lucknow, Apr 4: Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor has finally tested negative for the coronavirus in the fifth test. Earlier, the 42-year-old singer was tested positive for Covid-19 for the fourth time consecutively. Kanika Kapoor is currently admitted in the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGI) in Lucknow where she has been kept at the self-isolation ward, meant for the coronavirus patients, for over past 14 days.

Despite testing negative, Kanika will stay in the hospital for some more time according to the norms.As per the protocol, even if Kanika Kapoor is tested negative next time in the diagnosis, she will be kept in the self-isolation ward for next 14 days and more tests will be conducted to ensure that the coronavirus symptoms have not returned or are not returning

Meanwhile, speaking to a news channel Kanika’s family reportedly said that the Chittiyan Kalaiyan singer didn’t know about the self-isolation rules on her return. They also said that Kanika co-operated with hospital authorities and did not throw tantrums. Kanika Kapoor arrived in Mumbai from London on Air India flight on March 9. She was not aware that she could be carrying some infection that’s why she went around meeting people and attended a party also, er family reportedly said.

Last week, when she was tested positive fourth time, her family members reportedly expressed concern about her treatment wondering if she’s even responding to the medicines given. Rumours were also rife that Kanika was put in the ICU because of her deteriorating health condition. However, in an Instagram post made on Monday, she refuted all the rumours and mentioned that she’s stable and is positive about being tested negative the next time.
