COVID19: 5 more test positive, toll reaches 75 in J&K

Srinagar, Apr 3: Five more people have tested positive for novel coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir, taking total number cases to 75.

Four new cases have been tested positive in Kashmir division, while one new case has been reported from Jammu division.

“75 COVID19 cases have been reported in Jammu & Kashmir, with 5 cases being reported today out of which 70 are active. Four of the new cases are from Kashmir while one came into light in Jammu,” J&K government spokesperson, Rohit Kansal said.

He said out of 75 cases, 70 are active, two have died while as three persons have recovered.

Kansal said that thirty-four red zones have been identified in Jammu & Kashmir with respect to reporting of COVID19 cases. “24 of these are in Kashmir division while 10 are in Jammu division – four in Jammu, five in Rajouri & one in Udhampur,” he said.
