Covid deaths: J&K Govt announces Rs 50,000 ex-gratia to next of kin; here is what they need to do

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir government has announced an ex-gratia relief of Rs 50,000 to the next of kin of those who passed away due to Covid-19 in the Union Territory.

The official death toll due to the virus, as per the latest Covid-19 bulletin, stands at 4479 of which 2294 deaths took place in Kashmir.

The claimants have to go through a process to get the relief sanctioned by the J&K Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction.

They must contact their respective Deputy Commissioner’s office to avail the ex-gratia relief.
