Cold Wave Grips Kashmir, Srinagar Drops to -4.4°C

Srinagar, 01 Jan: Kashmir is enduring severe cold weather as it experiences the intense Chillai Kalan, the most challenging 40-day period of winter.

According to the Kashmir weather forecast, Srinagar recorded a temperature of -4.4°C.

Tourist spots like Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded temperatures of -7.6°C and -8.8°C, respectively.

Budgam and Ganderbal recorded -4.2°C and -3.0°C, while Bandipora and Baramulla saw temperatures of -0.7°C and -1.6°C.

The weather forecast indicates mostly dry conditions across Jammu and Kashmir today, with a possibility of snowfall in the higher reaches of Kupwara, Bandipora, Baramulla, and Ganderbal districts.
