Srinagar, June 06: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Thursday extended heartfelt Eid-ul-Azha greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, wishing them peace, prosperity, and well-being on the sacred occasion.
In his message, the Chief Minister said Eid-ul-Azha reflects the essence of faith, sacrifice, and devotion. “This holy festival inspires us to uphold values of honesty, truthfulness, and selflessness in our lives,” he stated.
Omar Abdullah highlighted the enduring legacy of Prophet Ibrahim (AS) and his son Prophet Ismail (AS), saying their unwavering submission to Almighty’s will is a timeless lesson in faith and obedience. “Eid-ul-Azha reminds us of the profound strength in sacrifice and the spirit of devotion that defines our faith,” he said.
He expressed hope that the occasion would serve to deepen the spirit of communal harmony, brotherhood, and mutual respect across Jammu and Kashmir.
The Chief Minister concluded by praying for lasting peace, harmony, and progress in the Union Territory.
