SRINAGAR, MAY 29: A three-member delegation, led by Dr. M. A. Alim, Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jammu & Kashmir, along with Iqram Ali Shafiee, Vice Chairman, CII J&K Council, and Khurshid Dar, Head, CII J&K, met with Javaid Ahmad Dar, Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives, and Elections, Jammu & Kashmir. The meeting focused on key initiatives to boost growth and modernization in J&K’s agriculture sector.
During the meeting, Dr. Alim highlighted CII’s commitment to supporting J&K’s agricultural development and proposed organizing high-impact agriculture conferences to bring together policymakers, industry leaders, farmers, and experts. These conferences aim to facilitate knowledge exchange, promote sustainable farming practices, and explore opportunities for investment and innovation in the sector.
Javaid Ahmad Dar welcomed the proposal and emphasized the government’s focus on transforming agriculture through technology, better market linkages, and farmer welfare schemes. He assured full support for CII’s initiatives and stressed the importance of public-private partnerships in driving sectoral growth.
