New Delhi, Mar 6: The pleas against Article 35 A are unlikely to come up for hearing before the Supreme Court on Thursday as well.
“It (case) is in the weekly hearing list but not in the daily list issued for Thursday,” a source told The Kashmir Monitor from Delhi.
A batch of writ petitions have been filed in the apex court challenging Article 35A which empowers J&K legislature to define permanent residents of the state and grant special rights and privileges to them. The lead case was filed in 2014 by a right-wing Delhi-based NGO, ‘We The Citizens’.
