Central Veterinary Hospital Launches Ground-breaking Compendium

Srinagar : In a significant milestone for veterinary medicine in Kashmir the Central Veterinary Hospital( CVH) has released its first comprehensive compendium, aimed at enhancing the understanding and treatment of various animal health issues. This ground breaking document was officially unveiled by the  Director Animal Husbandry Kashmir Dr.Parvinder Singh Sudan during  an impressive function held in Srinagar.

The compendium serves as an essential resource for veterinarians, veterinary students, and animal health professionals. It consolidates valuable research findings, clinical practices, and case studies that reflect the latest advancements in veterinary medicine. The Director emphasized that this publication is intended to bridge gaps in knowledge and provide practitioners with evidence-based guidelines to improve patient care.

The compendium includes sections on common zoonotic diseases, surgical techniques, emergency care protocols, and preventive health measures. Each section is meticulously curated to ensure that it reflects current best practices and scientific research. Additionally, the compendium features contributions from various specialists within the hospital, showcasing a collaborative effort to enhance veterinary education

Expressed a vision for continuous improvement in veterinary practices through education and collaboration. “This compendium is not just a book; it’s a commitment to our mission of advancing animal health and welfare,” said Dr.Sudan. The hospital plans to update the compendium regularly to incorporate new findings and innovations in veterinary science.

Speaking on the occasion Superintendent CVH Dr.Syed Altaf Gilani said The release of this compendium is expected to have a profound impact on local communities by equipping veterinarians with better tools for diagnosis and treatment. By improving veterinary practices, the Central Veterinary Hospital aims to enhance overall animal health outcomes in the region.

The publication of this first compendium marks an important step forward for Central Veterinary Hospital as it strives to lead in veterinary education and practice. With ongoing updates planned for future editions, this initiative underscores the hospital’s dedication to excellence in animal healthcare and their welfare.

The Meeting was attended by Joint Director Dr.D.K Gupta. Deputy Director Central Dr Riyaz Nazir  Deputy Director planning Dr Shabir Ahmad, Chief Animal Husbandry officers of different districts and officers from research, Poultry, and Livestock development board and Media wing of the Animal Husbandry Department and Technical officers.
