Cabinet orders major reshuffle in police department

Srinagar, Feb 8: The government on Thursday ordered transfers and postings in the police department.
According to an order, senior IPS officer SP Pani has been posted as inspector general of police Kashmir range.
An IPS officer of 2000-batch, Pani has served at key positions including DIG south Kashmir range, SSP Kulgam, SSP Kathua.
Muneer Ahmad Khan, who was holding the charge of IGP Kashmir range, has been appointed as ADGP security and home guards.
Dilbag Singh, IPS has been posted as Director General of Police, Prisons, J&K.
S. K. Mishra, IPS is transferred and posted as Chairman-cum-Managing Director, J&K Police Housing Corporation.
Ahfadul Mujtaba who was IGP Armed, Kashmir, is transferred and posted as IGP Crime, J&K.
Danesh Rana, IPS has been transferred and posted as IGP Armed, Jammu.
Jagjit Kumar, IPS who was IGP, Traffic, J&K, is transferred and posted as IGP Tech.
Shafkat Ali Watali, IPS is transferred and posted as IGP Armed, Kashmir.
Amit Kumar has been appointed as in-charge DIG south Kashmir range.
Basant Kumar Rath, is posted as IGP Traffic, J&K.
Vidhi Kumar Birdi, IPS is transferred and posted as DIG, CKR, Srinagar.
Sunil Gupta, IPS is transferred and posted as IIC DIGNKR, Baramulla, in his own pay and grade.
