Mumbai: Trolls have dug up an old video of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan about ‘intolerance’ to build momentum for #BoycottPathaanMovie.

In the old video, the interviewer asked the actor if he believes that there’s intolerance in the country. To this, the actor replied, “I mean just for the symbolic gesture, yes, if I have to. But there is intolerance. There’s extreme intolerance. I think there’s growing intolerance.”

This old interview to India Today is now being used to call for a boycott of SRK’s forthcoming `Pathan’.

“If India is an Intolerant Country, Then Why #ShahRukhKhan Is Still Living Here #BoycottPathanMovie?” one user asked.

“The game is over for Bollywood’s Bhaijaan, Badshah, Perfectionist, etc. They have earned more than enough money, their stardom is decreasing day by day. #BoycottPathanMovie#BoycottVikramVedha#BoycottLalSinghChadha#BoycottbollywoodForeverpic.twitter.com/CMDl1yyeM2,” said another

Shah Rukh Khan is set to make a comeback after four years. He will be seen in Pathan with stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. SRK also has Dunkee and Atlee’s Jawan in his kitty.

The boycott campaign has been launched at a time when Aamir Khan’s Lal Singh Chadda tanked at the box office. Critics said the online campaign played a crucial part in Chadda’s failure.

Trolls had dug up a photo of Aamir Khan and Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi in Saudi Arabia. The duo met with Pakistani Islamic scholar Tariq Jameel.

However, this picture dates back to October 2012, when Aamir Khan met Shahid Afridi and Maulana Tariq Jameel at Hajj.
