Body of Shopian youth found in neighbouring district

Srinagar, July 9: A body of a 25-year-old youth was recovered in Arwani area of Kulgam- district of south Kashmir on Monday. Reports reaching here said that the body of the youth was found by the locals and accordingly informed the police. The police recovered the body soon after information that the youth was lying in Arwani, they said. The deceased has been identified as Tariq Ahmad Mohand son of Ghulam Hassan Mohand of Heff Village, Shopian. A police officer also confirmed the incident and said that the youth was abducted by some unknown persons last evening. A case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigations were taken up, the officer said. (GNS)
