SRINAGAR, JULY 07: BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul stated on Monday that the party’s influence is steadily expanding in Jammu and Kashmir, particularly within the Kashmir Valley. He noted a growing number of people, especially youth, joining the party across multiple districts and constituencies.

“BJP’s footprint in Kashmir is increasing rapidly. People are placing their trust in our policies, and we are consistently gaining new members, including many young individuals,” Koul said.

He further emphasized that although the BJP has so far refrained from staging protests, the party is prepared to take to the streets if the legitimate concerns of the public are not addressed.

“If the need arises, the BJP will organize demonstrations and raise its voice to ensure public issues are resolved,” he asserted.

Addressing comments made by former Deputy Mayor Sheikh Imran, Koul said that pointing fingers at others cannot conceal one’s own shortcomings. He also welcomed the emergence of new political parties, calling it a healthy aspect of democracy.

“We are committed to strengthening our organization, and if others wish to form their own parties, that’s their democratic right,” he added.
