BJP steps in to support families affected by shelling

URI, MAY 14: Senior BJP leader Manzoor Bhat, along with the District President Baramulla Gulam Hussain Dar visited Salamabad Uri to assess the situation and offer support to families impacted by recent cross-border shelling. The visit focused on providing aid and initiating a rehabilitation program for those who have suffered loss of life, property, and homes.

During the visit, Manzoor Bhat met with affected families, including the family of a woman who tragically lost her life. He assured them of all possible assistance and support from the party. Bhat emphasized the importance of collective effort in rebuilding the affected communities and announced plans to launch a comprehensive rehabilitation program under the BJP’s policy. Bhat expressed deep regret over the loss of life in the cross-border shelling incident. He visited the family of a woman who lost her life in Uri and assured them of all possible help and support for rehabilitation. Bhat also extended an invitation to civil society organizations and NGOs, urging them to join hands in the rehabilitation efforts. The primary goal is to provide crucial support in rebuilding homes and ensuring access to essential resources for the affected families. 

The injured families, as per a BJP statement, expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the assistance provided. The people of Uri reiterated their faith in the Prime Minister’s leadership and expressed confidence in the government’s ability to protect their village. They also thanked the local administration for the amenities provided in the rehabilitation centers.
