TANGDAR, OCTOBER 7: The District Election Officer Bandipora Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Monday said that all facilities for smooth counting in the district have been finalized.
Briefing media DEO Bandipora, said that randomization of polling staff has already been done. The counting process will start at 8 am in the morning according to the ECI guidelines.
“The candidates have been given all the facilities in the counting centre to candidates at its agents to monitor the live streaming and watch who will enter the counting centre.”
He also said that the three-tier security has been set up in the counting centres. “The shifting of EVMs will be held under the guidelines of ECI in the counting centres.”.
“Section 144 will be implemented outside counting centres, expected peaceful counting if any untoward incident happens, administration ready to deal with that,” he added.
The results of the long-awaited Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections will be announced tomorrow, as counting for all 90 constituencies is set to begin.
This is the first assembly election in over ten years, and voter participation was notably high during the three-phase polling held on September 18, 25, and October 1.
As many as 20 counting centers have been established across the region, with tight security measures in place.
