Army chopper crashes in Tamil Nadu; senior officials on board

An army helicopter carrying senior defence officials crashed at Coonoor in Nilgiris district in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.

This was stated by official sources.

Chief of Defence Staff Gen Bipin Rawat is said to be on board.

Defence officials were rescued and taken to hospital, according to a TV channel.
