Apple has introduced a new subscription plan called AppleCare One, designed to simplify device protection for users who own multiple Apple products. Announced on Wednesday, the service allows coverage of up to three devices under a single plan, eliminating the need for separate AppleCare+ subscriptions for each device. Users can also add more devices to the plan by paying an additional monthly fee.
All-In-One Coverage for Apple Devices
According to Apple’s newsroom post, AppleCare One includes all the features of AppleCare+, such as:
- Unlimited repairs for accidental drops and liquid spills
- 24/7 priority support from Apple experts
- Apple-certified service and genuine parts
- Battery coverage
The plan is designed for convenience and flexibility. Users can add Apple devices that are up to four years old—provided the device is in good condition. Apple headphones, if less than a year old, are also eligible for coverage under the plan. This is a major expansion from Apple’s previous 60-day window for purchasing AppleCare+ after buying a new product.
Theft and Loss Protection Expanded
Another key enhancement is the expansion of theft and loss protection. Previously limited to iPhones, this benefit now includes iPads and Apple Watch models as well. However, Apple notes that a service fee and deductibles may apply when filing claims under this protection.
Smart Plan Management
AppleCare One also comes with streamlined plan management. If a user trades in a device at Apple, it will be automatically removed from the plan and replaced with the new product. Users can also manually add or remove devices at any time, offering greater control and transparency.
It is important to note that only devices associated with the user’s Apple ID are eligible for coverage under AppleCare One.
AppleCare One Pricing
The AppleCare One plan is available in the US for $19.99 (approximately ₹1,700) per month. Users can add additional devices to the plan at $5.99 (around ₹500) per month per device. Pricing remains fixed regardless of the type of device—be it an iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Apple Watch.
With AppleCare One, Apple is offering a more flexible and cost-effective solution for its loyal ecosystem users, especially those managing multiple devices in a household or workplace setup.
