Ahmedabad: Anant National University has announced a major merit-based scholarship initiative for candidates appearing in UCEED 2026, offering financial support of up to 100 percent for top rank holders. The scheme aims to make quality design education accessible to talented students across the country.
Under the initiative, candidates securing an All India Rank (AIR) up to 250 in the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) 2026 will be eligible for a full waiver of tuition and hostel fees. In addition, a tiered scholarship structure has been introduced for candidates with ranks up to 2500, thereby extending financial assistance to a broader pool of deserving students.
The university has also simplified the admission process for UCEED-qualified candidates. Such applicants will be exempted from the ADEPT entrance test and will be granted direct interview opportunities for admission to the Bachelor of Design (BDes) programme. This move recognises the academic rigour of UCEED and aligns with the university’s multi-pathway approach to identifying design talent.
The scholarship programme forms part of Anant’s broader commitment to inclusive education. Apart from merit-based awards, the institution offers need-based financial aid ranging from partial to full tuition fee waivers. The Financial Aid Committee evaluates applicants’ financial background comprehensively, considering factors such as family income, savings, investments, and education loans.
Yuvarajsinh Zala, Chief Finance and Accounts Officer and Head of the Office of Human Resources, said the initiative reflects the university’s vision to invest in talent and encourage students to pursue design as a career.
Additionally, special scholarships of up to 100 percent are being offered to the families of defence personnel.
The initiative reinforces the university’s commitment to ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder access to quality design education and aims to nurture future-ready professionals from diverse backgrounds.
