Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that despite growing global challenges and disruptions in supply chains, India continues to move forward with resilience, asserting that the world today looks at India with great expectations.
Speaking at the NXT Summit, the Prime Minister said the world currently stands at a critical turning point in history, where the priorities of global institutions such as the United Nations are being questioned.
“Supply chains are being disrupted again. The priorities of global institutions like the United Nations are being questioned. In such a period, our India is moving ahead even in these adverse circumstances,” Modi said.
He added that at this crucial juncture, India is among the most discussed nations globally, with world leaders and experts placing strong faith in the country’s potential.
Referring to the recent visit of Finland’s President Alexander Stubb to India, the Prime Minister said Stubb noted that the Global South will increasingly shape the direction of the world, and India will play the most significant role in determining that direction.
