New Delhi, April 26: Airtel has introduced a new international roaming (IR) plan priced at ₹4,000, offering 5GB of data access across 189 countries. Designed for frequent travelers, the plan is valid for one year and can be used both overseas and within India.
In India, the plan provides 1.5GB of daily data, 100 voice minutes, unlimited calling benefits, and 250MB of in-flight connectivity on select airlines. Airtel users can manage the plan through the Airtel Thanks app, which also supports an auto-renewal feature to simplify usage for frequent travelers.
The telecom giant positions this plan as an alternative to traditional eSIMs and travel SIMs available at airports, which often require identity documents. However, many airport SIM options may offer larger data allowances compared to Airtel’s 5GB package.
Alongside international benefits, the plan ensures access to a 24×7 call center for customer support. Earlier this month, Airtel had also launched a ₹451 prepaid plan with 50GB of data, 30 days validity, and a complimentary 90-day JioHotstar subscription.
