4 of Delhi family burnt alive as car catches fire

Karnal:Four members of a Delhi-based family were burnt alive after being trapped in the car they were travelling in, which collided with a truck near Shamgarh village in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The deceased have not been identified so far. However, the police found some clues indicating that the deceased belonged to Delhi.
The completely charred bodies of a man, his wife and his mother-in-law have been kept in the mortuary of Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College here.
According to eyewitnesses, the accident took place around 4 am when the car coming from Amritsar jumped the divider of national highway-44 and crashed into a truck coming from the Karnal side.
The police received the information about the accident, following which a fire tender was called to douse the fire, but it was too late to prevent the car from being burnt completely.
According to eyewitnesses, the car immediately caught fire trapping its occupants inside.
