Xiaomi’s Poco F1 will receive MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM in the coming week. This was confirmed by the company through a MIUI Forum blogpost. Soon after the phone’s launch in August, Poco, which is a sub-brand of Xiaomi, had rolled out the MIUI 10 Global Beta, which offers system optimisations and improvements in the user interface. Poco F1 had debuted with MIUI 9.6 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

As part of the MIUI Forum blog, Xiaomi has claimed that issues like Asphalt 8 and 9 not appearing on Play Store, and PUBG Mobile content being covered by the screen notch, are in the process of being resolved. Based on user feedback, the Chinese smartphone maker will also support dark mode on the app drawer, that is part of the POCO Launcher.

Besides these, the company will also issue bug fixes it has worked on over the last week for the Poco F1’s MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM.

Some of those include issues with the status bar as Poco F1 users were unable to find the phone’s battery percentage, or the notification app icons. As part of MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM, Poco F1 owners can verify the updates through Settings>Notifications and Status Bar>Show Icons for incoming notifications and Settings>Notifications and Status Bar>Battery indicator>Percentage respectively.

Poco also appears to be developing an option that will allow users to set apps that cannot adjust to the 18:9 aspect ratio of the display.

Other improvements to the Poco F1 include Widevine L1 support, that will allow users to stream HD quality content on Netflix and Amazon Prime. Poco is also set to roll out improved support for the ‘Ok Google’ command, as well as for 4K quality video shot at 60fps.
