Srinagar, May 29: The much awaited work on Jehangir Chowk-Rambagh flyover suspended almost ten days back has been resumed and the flyover will be fast tracked in full swing from today.

CEO ERA Dr Farooq Lone said: “Yes the work on the flyover has been resumed and will be fast tracked from today morning. All the issues has been sorted out and the work will continue without any disruption till the completion of the work on flyover.”

It is in place to mention here that work on the flyover was suspended due to delay in disbursement of payments to labourers and suppliers involved in the execution of the project by Simplex Infrastructure Private Limited. Last week a meeting was called by Chief Secretary B B Vyas to sort out the issue but even after the meeting some issues could not be resolved during the meeting. However the hectic efforts of CEO ERA to settle the issues with all concerned bore fruits Monday this week and the work on the flyover was resumed today that is (Tuesday). (KNS)
