(Video) Kupwara militancy-free, peaceful: Army

For the first time in 30 years, Kupwara has been declared a militancy-free district

General officer Commanding, 15 Corps, Lt Gen  P Pandey said it’s a collective responsibility of society to prevent the killing of cops and soldiers on leave.

He said that troops are alert on the LoC to foil any infiltration bid.  He said Kupwara has borne the brunt of violence for the last many decades.
