Lucknow: Undeterred by the Election Commission reprimand on the “Modi ki sena” remark, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that the UP alliance was also infected by the green virus and that Modi was the anti-virus to check it.

In a series of tweets after the mahagatbandhan’s first rally in Deoband on Sunday, CM Yogi said “mahamilawati thugbandhan walley bhi harey virus se sankramit hain” (the adulterated alliance of swindlers is also infected by the green virus).

According to him, the virus included strains of casteism, dynastic rule, corruption and loot.

“But there is nothing to worry. Anti-virus (read Modi) has a cure. Till our Modi ji is there the country and the state should be least bothered about this virus”.

Yogi charged those who indulge in the hypocrisy of respecting all religion and secularism of insulting the Constitution by demanding the votes of only one religion.

“In the rally, they said that Muslim votes should not be split. This has revealed their true face. Without a ruckus as if no one heard them, but the people understand everything,” Yogi tweeted.

Clearly referring to no special sops for the minorities in the Samajwadi party’s vision document, CM Yogi said that due to the fear of the strong anti-virus they did not mention the green colour in their manifesto.

“For their permanent treatment, a strong anti-virus is needed which you, the people of Uttar Pradesh are. This time you should cure this virus so completely that it never reappears anywhere in the country.” It may be recalled that on April 5, CM Yogi had similarly described Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) as a “virus” that had infected the Congress.

He had made the statement in the context of the Muslim League flags visible during the road show on the day Congress president Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination from Wayanad in Kerala

Taking exception to the statement, the Muslim League has lodged a complaint with the Election Commission against Yogi.
