Tulip Garden thrown open

Srinagar, Mar 31: Srinagar’s famed Tulip Garden was Sunday thrown open for public with Floriculture department stating the inaugural function was held with simplicity because of the Model Code of Conduct in place.
Director Floriculture Dr Hafeez Shah said this year there are 51 new varieties, including 12 high density varieties, which were not in the garden previously.
He said that flood lights have also been set up to extend the stay time in the garden. “The visitors can stay even during the evening time as well.”
Shah said there is a slight increase in ticket rate due to GST.
