Srinagar, Jan 31: A 19-year-old youth found hanging in forest area of Wayen in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
A police officer said that some locals informed the police about the body hanging from a tree at Wayen area of Haihama. Immediately a police team reached the spot and recovered the body of the youth.
He identified the deceased as Asif Ahmad Peer son of Abdul Ahad peer, a resident of Arambagh, Halmatpora Kupwara.
The body was later handed over to his family after conducting all legal medico formalities, the officer said.
He said that a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law and further investigations taken up to ascertain the cause of incident. (GNS)
