A Muslim woman brought back the ashes of a man who passed away two years ago due to Covid in Dubai and handed over the same to the man’s family in Kerala. According to reports, Tahira, who works as a paramedic in Dubai, brought back the ashes of the man after his family sought help on WhatsApp groups.

The ashes were brought back to Kerala from Dubai on August 26. Tahira volunteered for the task after she came to know how much the family had struggled to get back Rajkumar Thankappan’s ashes.

Tahira came to India for a noble cause. In fact, after landing in Kerala, she straight away went to deliver the ashes and only after handing them over went to her home in Kerala.

A report quoted her saying: “I have to complete all the legal formalities to bring back Rajkumar Thankappan’s ashes. When I brought them, I was thanked by the two children of Rajkumar. They constructed a grave beside their mother’s burial place and buried Rajkumar’s ashes by performing all the rituals.”

Beautlin Rexy (22), daughter of Rajkumar, said that her father went to Al Ain, UAE, in May 2020 for business where he died of Covid and his body was cremated by the Dubai authorities according to the Corona protocol of UAE.

Rexy thanked Tahira and said she would never forget what Tahira did fo them. “She fulfilled the promise she made to us. We are so grateful to her,” Rexy said.
