Sumbal, July 30: A speedy CRPF vehicle after crushing a sacrificial sheep to death fled from the spot in Nesbal Sumbal area of North Kashmir’s Banipora district on Monday morning.
The erring driver instead of stopping his vehicle, fled from the spot, eyewitnesses told adding that the vehicle was on way to Srinagar from Bandipora.
The sacrificial sheep belonged to one Naseer Ahmed, a resident of Tengpora Nesbal.
Naseer Ahmed said despite asking the driver to stop, he escaped from the spot.
Locals alleged that troopers’ vehicles violate traffic rules and don’t care about pedestrians and animals.
SSP Bandipora, Sheikh Zulifkar while assuring action said that the victim will be compensated. “We will find out the erring driver and the CRPF vehicle and will compensate the victim,” he said.
