Smartron tband With ECG, BP, and Heart Rate Monitoring Launched in India

Indian IoT brand Smartron on Thursday announced the launch of its first wearable – Smartron tband – in the country.

Priced at Rs. 4,999, the tband comes with heart rate, ECG (Electro Cardiography) and BP (Blood Pressure) monitoring capabilities, alongside a sleek and lightweight design. With the bundled thealth app, users can keep a check on their overall health index score which is a combination of calorie counter, sleep patterns, activity tracking, blood pressure, and heart health. The wearable will be available exclusively via Flipkart starting 12:01am on May 13.

The Smartron tband can continuously measure heart rate as well as offer resting heart rate stats. At launch, Smartron has tied up with several health partners including Portea, Talwalkars, Growfitter, FeetApart, and Healthsignz, with others soon to come onboard. The wearable will be sold in a Black colour variant. While the standard variant comes with a silicone strap with a stainless steel buckle; as a launch offer, the tband will also come with an additional premium leather strap available for all buyers.

Smartron tband specifications

The Smartron tband sports a 0.96-inch (64×128 pixels) PM OLED single touch display. The wearable is powered by an MTK2523/ MTK2511 SoC, coupled with 4MB of RAM. There is a 100mAh battery under the hood with a claimed 2-day battery life, and sensors on the tband include a 3-axis accelerometer, ECG monitor, and an optical heart rate monitor. The wearable is IP67 dust and water resistant.
