RAWALPINDI: A 21-year-old teacher allegedly stabbed a 12-year-old girl to death after her parents barred him from teaching Holy Quran to their daughter.
Police said that the 21-year-old teacher named Adil from Abbottabad used to visit the victim’s house to teach her Holy Quran.
A few days ago, the girl’s parents barred him from teaching their daughter over “suspicions”, according to the police.
On Monday, when the girl went to the tuition center, Adil stabbed her with a sharp object in the neck killing her on the spot.
Soon after receiving information about the incident, the police rushed to the spot, collected the evidence, and shifted the girl’s body to the hospital for postmortem.
SP Rawal Babar Javed Joya said that the accused has been arrested along with the murder weapon. He said evidence has been collected from the scene.
The SP said that the accused admitted that the girl’s family was suspicious that’s why he killed her.
In another case, a man has stabbed his 22-year-old daughter to death in the name of honor at their house in the Chakri area in the limits of Chauntra police station.
SHO Chauntra Yasir Mahmood said that Imtiaz killed his daughter Rizwana over suspicion of having an illicit relationship with a man. A case has been registered against Imtiaz and police are looking into the case.
