Mumbai :Several hotels in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh have become hubs for flesh trade. The police busted the sex racket by conducting raids at several hotels near the Sadar Bazar police station area and arrested as many as 35 men and women.
The raids were conducted by the police at more than six hotels. As soon as the police action began at the hotels, several couples could be seen making attempts to either flee or hide themselves. However, with the help of women cops, the police managed to arrest them.
Those arrested were brought to the police station in a bus. It is believed that the sex racket in hotels in the area have been running for years. It has also been alleged that many police officials have aided the sex racket in the past.
