Real Kashmir team visits special school, interacts with kids

Srinagar, Dec 1: Real Kashmir Football Club on Saturday distributed stationary and sports items to the specially-disabled children.

Real Kashmir FC, led by Coach David Robertson, paid a visit to the specially-abled children of Abhedananda Home at Solina here.

The team interacted with the children and made a toured the school.

The players also brought chocolates for the children which they later distributed among the children.

The team was welcomed by the special children and the staff with flowers.

The specially-abled children welcomed the team in their sign language by standing their arms up and twisting their hands.

Robertson later distributed school bags and stationary items among the children. Footballs were also distributed among the sporty kids.

Interacting with the children, Robertson said, “Our team came to the school for these special children. Real Kashmir will always come forward to help such children.”

The school provides education to nearly 100 deaf and mute and seven visually-impaired children.

DharmarajRavanan, RKFC defender, told The Kashmir Monitor that he was “very happy to see these kids”.

“Whenever I will get time, I will pay visit to this school,” he said.

Principal of the school, Shameem Noor, said, “I have been here for the last two years. Till now, nobody offered us a helping hand. It is good to see Real Kashmir coming forward for a good cause.”
