Police, CRPF, Army fighting militancy together: DGP

Srinagar, May 29: Thirty Assistant Commandants (Prob.) of 49th Batch presently undergoing training at CRPF Academy Kadarpur, Haryana interacted with the Director General of Police and other senior officers of the J&K Police at Police Headquarter today.

Speaking on the occasion Director General of Police (DGP) Dr. S.P Vaid said that it is always a pleasure to interact with young trainee officers who come to the Police Organisations with fresh ideas.

Commending the role of CRPF in the State particularly in Kashmir valley the DGP said that CRPF, Police, Army and all the CAPFs are fighting together like brothers against the militancy in the J&K State. He advised the trainee officers to approach their future tasks with calmness and above the bias of caste, colour and creed as our country is multi cultural and multi religious.

The DGP said that J&K Police has taken a number of steps to keep a check on the people who are misusing the cyber space by uploading antinational and radicalized material on social websites. He said that the Bharat Darshan Tours are being conducted and sports activities are conducted at large scale to channelize the energies of the people particularly the youth.
