Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday said he had a conversation with Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, focusing on deepening India-US cooperation in technology and innovation.
On X Platform, Modi shared that the discussion revisited topics covered during their in-person meeting earlier this year in Washington, DC. “Spoke to @elonmusk and talked about various issues, including the topics we covered during our meeting… We discussed the immense potential for collaboration in the areas of technology and innovation. India remains committed to advancing our partnerships with the US in these domains,” he wrote.
Musk, who also leads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in the Donald Trump administration, is playing a key role in US policy focused on reducing government spending and optimizing federal operations.
Their earlier meeting in February revolved around space, mobility, and governance. Modi had highlighted India’s ongoing reforms and vision of “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance.” Musk’s children were present during the meeting, where he also gifted Modi a heatshield tile, adding a personal touch to the interaction.
