SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Rehbar-e-Khel teachers have appealed to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to issue orders for their regularization.
Teachers said as per previous policy, they were supposed to serve a probation period of seven years. After completing the probation period they were to be considered for regularisation against the vacant posts.
Earlier, a committee was formed to find ways to ease the sufferings of REK teachers as it was impossible to survive on a meager amount of Rs. 3000 per month.
Teachers said the committee has proposed to send the vacant posts to SSRB for fresh advertisement and a 50% increase in the salary of current employees. Teachers have appealed to the government to regularize their services.
