PHD Chamber States Conclave concludes in Gulmarg

Srinagar, Apr 29: The two days PHD Chamber States Conclave Concluded in Gulmarg Kashmir today. The closing session was chaired by Anil Khaitan the national President of PHD Chamber, President PHD Chamber Anil Khaitan and Chairman Kashmir Committee Mushtaq Chaya while interacting with media said that the first PHD States Conclave was held at Gulmarg wherein Chairmen and Co Chairmen of the state chapters have come in from all over the country not only to enjoy the beauty of Gulmarg but to experience it firsthand. They have seen it for themselves that is peaceful and beautiful during the three days and have visited multiple places and am sure will carry the message of promoting tourism in Kashmir.
President said that that Jammu and Kashmir will grow in sync with the growth of Indian Economy. The State has lot of opportunities to create employment for the young population. The labour Intensive manufacturing can be a good growth vehicle for the promotion of socio-economic development in the State. President said that they are devoted to the socio-economic development in the State. It may be mentioned that the PHD Chamber organized a two-days States Conclave for the promotion of trade commerce and industry in the State.
While drafting the joint strategy for states the state Chairman of PHD Chamber Kashmir Mushtaq Chaya proposed, the PHD Chamber to advocate and represent to GOI for extending a Special Package of Industrial Incentive and Special budget allocation for J&K, like that for North Eastern States of India. It has been put in Joint strategy of this conclave that a Committee will be constituted for extension of DIPP Scheme for NE States in three Himalayan States in totality. It will be also advocated with the GOI that the three Himalayan States may also be considered for 10% budgeting allocations available under different centrally sponsored Schemes.
The conclave deliberate upon that the State Committee’s will provide support to J&K Committee for holding of J&K Promotion Shows in different States and in this regard Kashmir State Chapter have Signed MoU`s with 9 States of India to work together to coordinate the policy advocacy, and business promotion activities, particularly on Tourism, MICE Tourism, Education, Skill Development, Textiles and healthcare. Around 16 States across the country participate in this Conclave and discussed the best practices for the promotion of MSMEs and it was also recommended that to address the alarming unemployment issue of J&K state the PHD Chamber will advocate and suggest the big corporate houses for massive campus recruitment in J&K Universities and Colleges.
