Panchayat polls:Adequate security in place: ADGP (L&O)

Srinagar, Nov 16: A day ahead of the Panchayat polls in Jammu and Kashmir, the state police on Friday said that adequate arrangements have been taken to ensure peaceful polls.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Law and Order and Security, Munir Ahmad Khan was quoted saying by Kashmir News Agency said that all the required arrangements have been put in place to ensure peaceful elections to the voters.
He said that the security arrangements were made in coordination with CRPF and SSPs, saying that the officers have been directed to ensure peaceful elections like recently held Municipal elections.
ADGP Law and Order further appealed people to participate in the polls, slated to commence from tomorrow (Saturday) November 16, 2018. He said that the people are getting empowered on grass-root level due to these elections.
He said that if any voter is facing any kind of convenience can contact police any time as police is always there for the people.
