Srinagar, November 03:One militant was killed in ongoing encounter at Khudpora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Saturday evening.
Reports reaching GNS said that a joint team of army and police cordoned off Khudpora area after having credible input about presence of some militants in the area.
As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot the hiding militants fired upon goverment forces triggering an encounter.
A senior Police officer told GNS that that one militant body has been so far recovered along with an AK-47 rifle. The officer however said that searches are going on to find if there is anymore bodies.
