Srinagar, May 14: A non-local youth on Monday attempted to outrage the modesty of a girl at a local Darsgah here in Srinagar’s Gagribal area.
According to reports, Sunil Kumar Mehta in his 20’s in an inebriated condition made his entry into the Darsgah and tried to molest a girl. “He was naked, when he tried to molest a girl but the locals saved the girl from the clutches of the youth,” sources said.
Station House Officer (SHO), Nehru Park, Sameer Ahmad said that the Police has lodged an FIR under number 38, under section 452 (Trespass) and 354(Attempt to outrage the modesty of a girl).
“He was unconscious. We have sent him for medical examination to Police Control Room (PCR). Once he regains conscious and medical tests are out, the facts can be ascertained, ‘he said.
