Militancy affected cases:DLSCC B’pora clears Rs 50 lakh compensation

Srinagar, Feb 12:  The District Level Screening-cum-Coordination Committee (DLCC) on Tuesday cleared 21 militancy-affected cases and sanctioned a compensation of Rs 50 lakh in favour of the beneficiaries.

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary and attended by Superintendent of Police   Choudhary Zulfikar Azad, Additional Deputy Commissioner Zahoor Ahmad Mir,  Assistant Commissioner Revenue Reyaz Ahmad Beigh, Representatives of Army and other senior officials.

Four cases were cleared for compensation of Rs one lakh each to the next of kin of deceased while four cases were sanctioned for compensation of Rs four lakh each under SRO-43. Five cases were also approved for sanction of Rs four lakh each under SRO-177. An amount of Rs eight lakh was also approved for property damage.
