J&K emerges champion in Arnis National Championship

Srinagar: J&K was declared champion in Arnis National Championship, which concluded on Thursday at Bhana Singh Stadium in Jammu.

Maharashtra has emerged as runners up in the championship, whuch was participated by athletes from many other states.

The Chief Guest on the function was R.S.Chib, Ex-Sports Minister While as S.M.Bali Joint Secretary Indian Olympic Association and Haji Abdul Qayoom Chief Sports Officer was the Guest of honor.

The list of the final day medalist Players are include Haranjot Singh in 72 Kgs category who bagged Gold medal while as Maharashtra’s Shrikant Somar clinched silver medal and Kailash from Uttar Pradesh and MD Irfan from Maharashtra bagged bronze.

In -66kgs Gobinder from Chandigarh bagged Gold while as Manjeet Kumar from J&K bagged silver and Sourab from Maharashtra bagged bronze medal.

In -52 kgs Khushboo from Haryana bagged Gold while as Gouri shined from Maharashtra and Kumari Depeka bagged bronze medal.
